Earth Day: India switching off lights on 28th March

World’s greatest movement for a wonderful cause is here fast approaching on 28th March 2009 and India is all set to do its share for this magnificent cause to save Mother Earth.

As usual, the prominent corporate world taking part this year are Google, Intel, HSBC, Wipro, Infosys, HP, Standard Charted, Nokia, ITC Welcome group, ICICI, Tata Indicom, Aircel, Canon to name a few.

And we in our neighborhood has planned to do our best, and decided to turn off lights and all other possible electrical equipments for one hour, keeping in mind the role which we all have to pledge and play to save our one and only dependent; The Mother Earth

Great idea in't it? I wish there were more day's and more hours... Perhaps we should all take up playing board games by candle light every once in a while. ;p

In the midst of all the craziness in my life I missed it.....I think I will do it anyway at home......my kids would really like it. I often tell my son how when I lived in South America as a child for 5 years grandma's house in the coutry did not have electricity.....he seems fascinated.....I know he's adventurous enough to find it fun....

thanks for reminding me.

Indolence is a delightful but distressing state; we must be doing something to be happy. Action is no less necessary than thought to the instinctive tendencies of the human frame.
