Mahatma Gandhi's priceless belongings

Mahatma Gandhi's priceless belongings were put up for auction by James Otis a US-based private collector, at New York's Antiquorum Auctioneers auction house last week.

All the belongings of Mahatma Gandhi is bought by bangalore based business magnet Vijay Mallya for USD 1.8 million and he already has plans to hand it over to the Government of India. It is a great gesture of respect for the Great Leader and certainly a true patriotic move, and the people of India are proud of you sir.

The items include his iconic round-rimmed spectacles, a 1910 silver zenith pocket watch, sandals, a bowl, a plate and letters.
